KARA

When Kara is not in the saddle, you can find her teaching Pilates & Barre at Noelle Rox Pilates.

A Southern California native, Kara grew up very involved in competitive cheerleading, swimming, and horseback riding. She discovered her love of Pilates in High School when she was recovering from a knee injury. She continued her Pilates training throughout her time at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising and in the process she stumbled upon her true passion, health sciences.

Kara was trained under master Pilates instructor Risa Sheppard and was certified in The Sheppard Method Pilates in 2012. During her Pilates certification Kara began teaching Barre as a group fitness instructor at Pop Physique and Studio 64. She continued her barre education by training with Tracey Mallett and learning the “Booty Barre” technique. In her time teaching, she has been a guest-writer for Foam Magazine writing articles on nutrition and physical fitness.

Early 2014, Kara began working on a fitness program tailored to equestrians. An avid rider herself, she saw first hand how Pilates can significantly improve riding. Thus, the Equalign Method was born.

She specializes in Pilates based exercises for athletes, equestrians, and pre/post natal.
